Meet the Teachers!
Hi! I have been playing piano for 19 years and have been teaching for 7 years. While attending LaVilla School of the Arts and Douglas Anderson School of the Arts as a piano student, my love for music truly blossomed. I went on to graduate from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Piano Performance.
Throughout college, I originally started my piano studio as a way to support myself, but I quickly realized just how much I loved teaching. What started as a way to help pay for school became a passion and one of the most rewarding parts of my life.
I am currently taking a weekly teaching leave from the studio while I pursue my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. I am incredibly grateful to continue staying connected to my students and their amazing families by shifting to an administrative role. I am so excited to watch them grow as musicians with Ms. Ellie while I’m away <3
Ellie has had a lifelong love for music and enjoys sharing music with others. She developed her skills at a young age and went on to study piano throughout high school and college.
In high school, Ellie won the local Concert On the Green Concerto Competition. She attended Jacksonville University for 2 years studying piano performance, viola performance, and accompanying, where she won the University Concerto Competition performing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. While at JU, Ellie accompanied both vocalists and instrumentalists, as well as held the position of Orchestra Assistant.
Ellie is currently the pianist at One Church Jax Beach, where her family fellowships on Sundays. She enjoys leading the congregation in praise and worship to the Lord alongside other musicians. Ellie teaches piano lessons to young students and is inspired to share her same love of music to them as well.
She delights in spending time with her husband and son, including going on bike rides together, going to the park, and baking yummy treats in the kitchen.
